Simple. You book a package, we courier a camcorder (or two) to you before your big day. On the day, you, your MC, bridesmaid or a special someone hands the camera to guests and lets the magic happen. After the wedding, you send the camcorder back to us. We then deliver your raw footage, and/or edit it into a full film — depending on your package. That's it. No crew, no fuss, just genuine moments caught on tape.

Nope. Our camcorders are dead simple to use — point and press record. We include an instruction card with every rental so even your most technophobic aunt can figure it out. Half the charm is in the wobbly, imperfect shots anyway.

It depends on your package. Our Play package includes one camcorder, Pause includes one, and Rewind includes 2 (plus extra goodies). If you want additional cameras, you can add them on as an extra.

We courier the camcorder directly to your door — anywhere in South Africa. You'll receive it a few days before your wedding so you have time to get comfortable with it. Just make sure someone reliable is home to receive it. We'll confirm all the details with you after booking.

We arrange a return courier pickup from your address. You'll get all the return instructions and packaging when the camera arrives. We just ask that you send it back on the first workday after your wedding so we can get cracking on your footage.

Absolutely — we service weddings nationwide across South Africa. Whether you're saying "I do" in the Karoo, the Winelands, KZN or anywhere in between, we've got you covered. Courier fees are included in all our packages.

Once we receive your camcorder back, allow 8 weeks for your edited film. We take the time to craft something genuinely beautiful — not a rushed slideshow set to a royalty-free banger. Raw footage delivery (without editing) is much faster, usually within 48 hours of receiving the camera.

Yes! We'll send you a short brief before we start editing where you can share song preferences.

Totally fine. Our Play package delivers raw footage only, and you can choose raw footage delivery on any package if you'd prefer to edit yourself (or hand it to someone else). If you change your mind later, we also offer an editing-only add-on service — just get in touch.

We deliver everything digitally via a private download link — no waiting for a USB in the post. Your raw footage and/or edited film lands straight in your inbox, ready to watch, share, and treasure forever.

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks before your wedding to secure your date and allow time for delivery logistics. That said, if you're last-minute (we don't judge), reach out and we'll do our best to make it happen.

100% yes and honestly, yes please. We offer bachelor and bachelorette add-ons so the shenanigans before the big day are just as well-documented as the day itself. Add it on when you book, or contact us to chat about it separately.

Weddings are wonderfully chaotic and we know accidents happen. We'll outline our damage policy clearly at the time of booking so there are no surprises. We're reasonable humans — just treat the camera with love and let us know if anything goes sideways.

We're a complement, not a competitor. A professional videographer gives you polished, wide-angle, multi-camera coverage. XOXO on Tape gives you something different — raw, intimate guest-perspective moments that no crew could capture. Many couples use both. Some use us as a more accessible standalone option. Either way, we're here for it.
